What is going on in the biofuels field ?
Much has been published recently that calls biofuels into question ... and what has emerged from the heat of this debate is a calling to the industry to define and prove the path that ensures sustainability in the biofuels chain.
Bioenergy World Americas promises to be the Forum which will untangle the information from the misinformation and will serve to help industry players, investors, environmentalists and stakeholders to map out the right course.
« The reasons for the crisis are many and cannot be solely ascribed, as some do, to a simple trade-off between biofuels and agriculture »
Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary General

Bioenergy World Americas 2008 is an International Conference responding head-on to the challenge to develop sustainable bioenergy value chains. Industry and institutional experts will put forward strategies and initiatives, determining the positive way forward for biofuels to parallel and compliment the food supply chain.
Delegates will be encouraged to debate the issues as well as to propose their own approaches and strategies for creating both sustainable feedstock supply chains and integrated sustainable bioenergy production processes.
Bioenergy World Americas 2008 follows the highly-successful 2006 first edition - an international conference attended by 450 delegates from 20 countries covering biodiesel, ethanol, biogas, certified sustainable pellets and CDM.
