Visit two demonstrations on forestry machinery for the preparation of wood for energy purposes. The first will be a visit to the company Morandini Corrado e Michele who will illustrate the production of wood chips with the Heizohack HM 8-400 from the whole fruit tree plantation, come to the end of its fruit giving cycle, the storage of the wood-chips and finally the boiler (Heizomat - 100 kW) which provides the heat needs of the building. The second demonstration site will be located at a black pine forestry plantation of Spaeropsis sapinea wherein the loading of the whole tree by a tractor with an extension Antonio Carraro SRX 8400 – Campese Forestal C1 will be shown together with the autonomous industrial wood chipper Woodsman 12 MX sold by Europe Recycling Italia srl .

Visit two sites: a 20 MW power plant that runs purely on solid biomass and a Biogas system with capacity of 845 kW (Schmack). Meet the operators.

Visit the Livenza Agricultural Coopertive Society (Coal) which is using the crop residues generated by its members and solid biomass from its own short rotation forestry to produce heat which it feeds into a district heating system. A full day geared to learn about the full supply chain from the forest to the combustion : comparative species for short rotation coppice, live demonstration of mechanized harvest of SRF (poplar, robinia, paulownia), and overall presentation of the wood supply chain. The boiler is of 70 kW (thermal) capacity.
